Welcome! I am a California licensed Clinical Psychologist with a focus on transitional aged youth and adults. My clients tend to seek therapy to work through issues which can include depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, family conflict, experiences of discrimination, identity issues, work challenges, difficult transitions, and traumatic experiences. As a Black, Queer, bicultural, first-generation clinician, I am particularly passionate about serving clients of color, children of immigrants, and the LGBTQ+ community.
In my work with clients, I take into account the whole person and their potential for growth, helping them to get in touch with their own inner wisdom in order to move towards change. I hold my clients in the context of their individual identities, and I consider the impact that experiences of intergenerational trauma and oppression can have on mental health. My goal is to help my clients to find their voice, take ownership of their stories, become more fully themselves, and stand more confidently in their own personal power.
I earned my PsyD from the Wright Institute in Berkeley. My experience has included working in elementary and middle schools throughout the Bay Area, as well as community mental health clinics, and San Francisco General Hospital. I have served as a clinic director and supervisor to psychology graduate students in training, in addition to working in a group private practice. Outside of my clinical work, I have provided training to other practitioners in the areas of child development, complex trauma, and Healing Justice.
